Dr. He Wei Shared the Development and Full-Scenario Applications of Lithium Battery Technology

On September 1, during the World Power Battery Conference in Yibin, China, Dr. He Wei, Dean of the Power Battery Research Institute at EVE Energy, delivered a speech titled 'Lithium Battery Technology Roadmap and Its Upgraded Full-Scenario Applications' at the Seminar of Global Advanced Battery Foresight Technologies.

Dr. He Wei pointed out that, benefiting from the thriving global power and energy storage markets, Chinese lithium battery companies have grown from small and weak to large and strong, with more peers adopting a global strategy to meet the increasing needs of electrification development worldwide. The need for multi-scenario electrification has prompted battery technologies to upgrade for diverse application forms.

'Identifying the key problems of power and energy storage markets, EVE Energy innovates continuously in three aspects: function, warranty, and cost, launching large LFP battery and large cylindrical battery,' said Dr. He Wei. As of June 2024, EVE Energy's large cylindrical batteries have been installed in over 25,000 vehicles, demonstrating excellent market performance. On the other hand, the large LFP battery, with a capacity of 2 kWh per cell and a ten-thousand-cycle lifespan, maintains high efficiency and dominates a leading position.
